Ai-Media, speech-to-text innovator and Australia’s leading broadcast captioning provider, has released the results of the latest independent quality audit.

During the period 1 October 2016 to 31 December 2016, Ai-Media recorded an average quality score of over 99.6%. based on the auditor selecting 13 television programs at random across services delivered to Nine Network Australia. Uptime exceeded 99.9% during the quarter.

CEO Tony Abrahams said “Ai-Media is the first Australian captioning provider to appoint an independent auditor to assure quality for our clients and their viewers.  The quarterly audit has recorded consistently high scores and illustrates our passion and commitment to quality and transparency.”.

Quality is measured using NER methodology (Number, Edition error and Recognition error), which measures the speed of captions, the delay between speech and caption text, and the number and types of errors.
