"One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth doing is what we do for others."

Co-founder and Brand Ambassador Alex Jones opened Ai-Media’s 10th anniversary celebrations with a quote from Lewis Carroll, esteemed author of the classic ‘Alice's Adventures in Wonderland’.

“It was a journey, like Alice’s” explained Alex of Ai-Media’s history. “With technology, innovation and creativity interwoven. Little doors have opened into big doors and we have landed on a new horizon.”

In addition to the festivities, the 10th anniversary celebration was an opportunity to announce exciting developments. Politicians who have lent their support to the many endeavours of Ai-Media – including Senator Mitchell Fifield and the Hon. Paul Fletcher MP – were present as Deanne Weir was announced as Chairman.

“I’ve got very big shoes to fill. It's just that my heels are a bit higher,” joked Deanne, expressing her gratitude on the exemplary job done by founding Chairman John Martin.

Backers Commercialisation Australia were represented by Doron Ben-Meir (CEO) and Malcolm Donnell (Ai-Media Case Manager) who – along with clients from Foxtel and subscription television channels and Ai-Media shareholders – witnessed company CEO Tony Abrahams give the first public demonstration of the Ai-Live 4.0 captioning system.

“The official market for captioning is about 2.5 million people in this country,” said Alex Varley, Chief Executive of Media Access Australia. “Captions are a form of universal access. You are onto a winner here, guys.”

Tony also broke the news of a business expansion coup. The Nine Network has awarded Ai-Media a five-year captioning services contract for all their Australian markets.

Wrapping up the formal proceedings – and heralding the arrival of a spectacular cake! – Alex Jones concluded with a final quote from ‘Alice's Adventures in Wonderland’:

"You are part of our dream, of course, but then we are part of your dream."
